Screaming liberals unless YOU get convicted of a murder or even putting gum under a chair or maybe even ripping a tag off of a mattress and then it'll be OK to re-institute places like Devils Island and harsh beatings while chained to tree stumps in the blazing sun with fire ants to chew you into tiny little pieces. We would need some form of healthy entertainment then.

I am sure the employers would love people burning a 500 megabyte download at work to watch a movie... come on, it is 2010 and time to be versatile. I would never waste a DVD or my time to watch a movie I can watch online.

moongleam, it's because your file can't be watched on the net - it's not embedded into a player. This file is embedded in a player so people can watch it on line. You should quit barking and just enjoy these wonderful films.

As for what is the best way to watch a movie on line - I think that's best left to the person doing the viewing; some people prefer streaming to downloading and burning. Some people want to see a film before they download it. Everyone is different.

Subject: What's my file doing here?
The original upload of this movie is here. Someone created a new page and copied the 459.9 megabyte file that I transcoded from a DVD that I purchased. On the original page you will also find an mpeg2 file from which a DVD can easily be burned.

Any good player can easily play any file on this site directly from the internet. No "embedding" is needed.

Streaming a video is the worst way to watch it. If you stream a video and want to watch it again, you have to get on the internet and stream it again, wasting bandwidth. If one saves the file to his hard-drive, then he can watch it again or share it with friends without streaming it again.

The derived files that are created by the Archive are far too low-resolution to be worth watching, anyway.

Instead of buying a DVD and transcoding it, the originator of this page simply copied my file. Instead of writing a description of the movie, the originator of this page simply copied one from IMDb. It seems that both this page and its originator are completely superfluous.

"Audio/Visual: sound, color"
That's not correct; it's a black and white movie.
